Chop Stick-ology

We love these "his and hers" chop stick holders. They retail for about $9 found here and would make a cute gift for kids or for the chop stick impaired. Couple the chop sticks with a takeout box filled with fortune cookies found in the ethnic section of your grocery store. You can even sweeten the deal and cover the fortune cookies with white chocolate. (look for the recepie under the comments for this post) What child wouldn't love that? Got some extra time on your hands? Order this Giant Fortune Cookie and white chocolate cover it. You can also order cookies with special messages and boxes here.

  1. White Chocolate Covered Fortune Cookies:

    You will need-
    2 bags white chocolate morsels,
    12 fortune cookies,
    Canola or Veg. oil
    wax paper

Melt the chocolate slowly in the microwave (1 min increments and stir) or in a double boiler if stovetop.

When melted, add oil 1 tablespoon at a time and stir until your chocolate pours easily off the spoon.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.

Dip unwrapped cookies into the chocolate until covered and lay on wax paper to dry. They will harden if you leave them on the counter top or faster if you refrigerate them.

You can add food color to the remaining chocolate and drizzle it over your cookies to butify them a bit.

This is a good new years gift idea and your little ones will love to help you with it.

    Have fun!
